The growth of the digital economy and financial technologies is a strategic lever for the economic development of San Marino.
The recent conference titled “Fintech in Micro States”, held at the Prestige Lounge of the San Marino Outlet Experience, provided a key opportunity to explore the role of technological innovation in small countries.

The event, organized by ABS, ANIS, and the Law Firm of Attorney Matteo Mularoni, was attended by top government officials including the Secretary of State for Finance and Budget, Marco Gatti, and the Secretary of State for Labor and Technological Innovation, Alessandro Bevitori. High-profile Fintech experts from J.P. Morgan, ItaliaFintech, TeamSystem Payments, BKN301 Group, and Qomodo also participated.

Secretary Bevitori emphasized that Fintech represents a powerful driver to create new professions and upskill existing ones, positioning San Marino as a potential innovation hub.
Similarly, Secretary Gatti highlighted the importance of Delegated Decree no. 138/2024, which sets the legal framework for the responsible adoption of digital technologies.

The conference reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between institutions, banks, industries, and consultants to foster a sustainable, inclusive, and innovation-driven economy that enhances human capital.
